Eagle Fishing Sequence

This winter I have discovered a new found love for photographing eagles. Having thousands of them only a couple hours away from where I live during these winter months is definitely a treat I am trying to enjoy it to the fullest!! Here is a sequence of one of the eagles fishing out of the Mississippi River. The beautiful afternoon sunlight was perfect to capture eagles doing what they do best, capturing prey!!! I would definitely suggest making a trip out to view this amazing display at least once in your lifetime!!! It truly is magnificent!!!

Here is a series of an eagle Fishing at Lock and dam 14…

Locked on...This adult North American Bald Eagle has his afternoon snack locked in his sights. In January, February, and March, thousands of eagles migrate to the Locks along the Mississippi river so they can maintain a steady food supply in the cold. The locks keep portions of the river from freezing up, which makes it a great place to watch these beautiful creatures in action. It also means that the colder it is, the better it is for viewing so make sure you bundle up if your planning on visiting. Pictured here, Lock and Dam 14 in LeClair, Iowa is the best one for photography since it offers and un-obstructed view of the river....Sequence: #1 of 5
