Im not sure if everyone knew that the main motivation behind my recent trip to Colorado was to attend the 21st Annual National Art Exhibition and Sale hosted by the Artist Association of Northern Colorado. My photograph, “Sunrise at the Rocks” was selected for inclusion in this exhibit and I flew out to attend the award ceremony. During the ceremony, they announced that my photograph had won the Doug and Annie Johnson Photographic Art award, which basically means I won best in Photography. With thousands of applicants and only 100 chosen to participate, I felt honored to be apart of this great event. To win an award for best in photography, well thats just icing on the cake. Not only did I get this sweet ribbon, but I also received a nice little check to help supplement the cost of my trip!! I cant begin to express how awesome this whole experience has been!!! Im honored and grateful and I look forward to participating in this show again next year!!!
